It's more exploiting the existing dopamine addiction tendancies that humans already have rather than gambling specifically.

We already have AppImages or Flatpaks if they wanted to go that route.

AppImages would probably be the better solution in this case.

Other examples:

  • Chat Control in the EU (passed the parliament after numerous failed attempts even though a majority voted against it)
  • The SAVE Act in the US (passed the House after numerous failed attempts through an unrelated "must-pass" budget bill)
  • Canada's Bill C-22 (hasn't passed yet, but the mass surveillance apparatus wants to push it through)
  • Not putting Trump and his co-conspirators in prison after the January 6th violent coup attempt
  • Not prosecuting anyone from the Panama Papers (which seems to have been almost entirely forgotten in the public view)
  • Not prosecuting or arresting any of the Epstein criminals in the US

And those are just very recent examples.

They don't already price fix?

Many mobile apps have a "pull to refresh" feature where you swipe up to the top of whatever list you're looking at and then swipe up even further to refresh the whole feed. A "crazy refresh pull" is when said content appears on the newly refreshed feed and the user finds it enjoyable in a way they find to be extraordinary, or at the very least, better than average.

Worth noting that it's extremely easy to hack a PS3 and bypass the DRM.

It's not that hard to swallow.

That depends on what the definition of "lobster" is.

It's a reference to how they were sponsored by AT&T.

Maybe, IDK.

I'm not on the list. Maybe they thought I was a placeholder.

I wonder if Mamdani has the power/will to regulate that kind of surveillance out of existance within NYC.

Not if you hunt game.
