Ok, but can we agree that the image shows a superway, not a subway?

She was beautiful and smart. We loved each other. But she had no aspirations outside of having kids. More importantly, it was always her first. Like if there was a good and a bad pillow, she always took the good pillow. This with everything. I of course offered it to her, but I feel like that should be reciprocal. There were other things, but this is what sticks out to me.

Thr relationship came to a natural end (she had to leave the country) and I decided this wouldn't work out. This was almost two decades ago, and I am happily married to the girl I met next.

Which is funny because NATO has no intention of doing anything unless someone in NATO gets attacked.

Yes..? YouTube wants to get paid. Companies pay YouTube to play ads. You pay YouTube not to play ads. If you do that, then the companies obviously won't be paying for that. So either you pay or the advertisers pay. Mind blown!

True. But there are still degrees of privacy you can achieve without going to extremes.

I'm not saying that the democrats in power aren't benefitting from all the horrendous shit the republicans are doing, but I do find it interesting that American voters completely neutered the democrats, stripped them of any kind of power and then proceed to complain that they're not doing anything about the republican hellscape that followed.

Pronouns. I get that they matter a lot to some people, and of course it's super annoying (if not worse) to be referred to in the wrong way, but I find it unreasonable to demand being referred to something outside of the gender binary, simply because that's the way language works.

I am aware that English has used "they" for a person of unknown gender for ages, but for one, I don't think it's something that you should demand people call you when they actually know your gender, but also I really hate that this is making its way into other languages like my own, that has never had this convention. Inventing entirely new pronouns is just ridiculous, I have a hard enough time to remember your name.

I am also aware that language evolves, but this is not evolution, it's forced, and if one group of people can try to force a change they prefer, I'm as much in my right to resist it if I don't like it.

People are super passionate about this though and in fifty years I'm sure I'll be seen as a fossil for not getting with the times now - in fact I'm sure certain people see me like this now.

My daughter has always had a very close relationship with my mom. In the beginning of covid they didn't see eachother for a few months, except over video chat. When we finally had them over, in the outdoors, my daughter, who was 2 at the time had a very simple reaction: she collapsed on the grass as soon as she saw her in the distance. We had to pick her up off the grass. She spent the next half hour hugging her grandmother.

Firefox - Accidentally introduces memory leaks. People flee in droves.

Chrome - Intentionally introduces privacy leaks. People go "eh" end keep using it.

Gotta protect that memory!
