Oh wow that's really sad to read. The part where she stole a 1.9k coat from a small shop and then went back the next day to steal 5k of stuff, I really can see how that's mental illness.

Politicians have enough money to pay for therapy, I think the wider problem here is the way mental health is still stigmatized and people just try to power through it.

I don't think his core voters care as long as their house prices keep rising.

Rents have just gone up again where I live. Council rates are rising by around 15-17% in at least two two regions.

Carmageddon is the one I remember thinking was amazing. The one with the humans not the zmbies. Also, Quake ha ha ha.

Supplementary point: here in New Zealand we also have Single Buyer.

That means for all medicine there is one buyer, who is able to negotiate bulk pricing with international drug companies.

"I'm so embarrassed about what's really going on, I'm still letting it sort of absorb in, I really, really didn't even have any idea how much this is actually gonna offend people, when all I was doing was mocking and teasing myself,"

That's some internalised racism there. I hope she is able to really benefit from being called out on it.

Having played Morrowind obsessively when it first came out, I downloaded it on Steam and ... geez it makes you work hard now that we're usef to quest journals and maps. Also you're in a potato world. But I still have amazing crystal clear memories of flying around netch farms at night and stuff. I think maybe it offloaded a lot of the image processing onto our brains or something!

I think you're right.

I used to teach first year undergraduates and the first time they heard the American term "people of colour" invariably led to a lot of confusion and offence because many of them (especially PoC themselves) initially thought it was insulting.
