I had a dream recently where I was guiding a civilisation over multiple thousands of years. Att the end of the dream when they had finally overcome their problems, one of them said to me 'being a person, when really you're just a blob of goo, is the most profound thing you could ever do.'

And it hit me so hard. All I am is a bunch of cells held together in a skin bag. And yet I'm a person with feelings and experiences and desires. And I did that, I live it. It makes us all so valuable.

Have your dreams ever had effects on you like that?

I've tried a bunch of different pills, Panadol/Tylenol, ibuprofen/advil, antihistamines, Ritalin, etc, and they all taste terrible. I had one once that had a tiny bit of sugar on the outside so the first few seconds of sucking on it were ok and then it went bitter and yuck like all the rest.

I can barely stand it after several minutes, so i've taken to just chomping on the panadol when it gets too bad and trying to wash out the taste with water.

You would think they could have invented strawberry or something but every pill has the almost exact same horrible bitter flavour.

There was a comic, I thought it was on a games community, but I can't find it anywhere and I've scrolled back for ages. Pretty sure the context was the OP complaining about souls games, the comic was definitely about that, and i think it was a bird and it bit the game and then in the background the final frame had 'GOD SLAIN'

Maybe the post has been deleted? Or maybe it was in some random not games or comics related community.. but I scrolled back like 4 days and it was definitely posted in that time period, pretty sure yesterday..

I'm quite surprised. From the outside, how the US appears, I would have expected Trump to do some BS or the courts threw it out because free speech for psychopaths etc. But somehow that didn't happen?

Like, I don't see why they need to make any concessions. They already state the US must pay for damages.

Why don't they also include that Trump must go on national TV and say something like, "I have been a very bad little boy and I make poopoos in my daipies."

It costs zero dollars, can be done the same day, etc. no bodily harm. It's only severely humiliating. Given the demands thus far, this would be pragmatically the easiest to comply with. So why not? Has any other country done this kind of thing in the past?
