Pretty sure I have, depending on what counts. Eluviete, Burzum? Others I can't remember the names of?

Client is what you need. Server runs elsewhere

As they said already. It's self contained, so you don't have a ton of extra packages in your system. When you upgrade your system, jellyfin works regardless

[-] luthis 4 points 3 hours ago

Upgrade to docker when you can. It's not as hard as you think. And it's an extra skill. If you can handle Linux you can handle docker

[-] luthis 3 points 3 hours ago

Can it run jellyfin

[-] luthis 2 points 11 hours ago

It's pretty cold in the southern hemisphlat, we are still in the tail end of winter

[-] luthis 5 points 11 hours ago

Yes. As lazy as possible. Coffee granules and puddles of milk everywhere. Maybe it's just the almost empty jar because it had just enough instant for one cup anyway

Protip you can do this every day. Involuntarily!

Burn the witch!

It's not that intense. Bad quality footage, can barely tell he carries out a fish, it's a white blob. Then Benny hill music starts and he pedals away on a bike while the other guys are running and then tripping over onto their faces. Then womp womp trombone he is in the police station with everyone looking disappointed at him with crossed arms

NOTE: I am NOT defending AI or it's usage or anything like that. So just tie that horse right back up at the kitchen sink. I don't like the whole AI thing. This post is not about AI.

I get that it was necessary at first, but now whenever there's any hint of AI, there's a great chorus of everyone saying the same thing 'AI slop bla bla bla' like a gaggle of sheep jerking their knees.

It's not fucking helpful. It only sows even more division among the peasants, while the oligarchs take zero notice and continue on as usual. The correct way to engage with AI content you don't like is just not at all.

Examples:

Recently I watched as a post for a community event was removed, because it had an AI image. The image was not requested or created by the organiser, it was provided to them, and had information in several languages. But the post was removed because AI slop and now there is less human connection happening. Yay. Well fucking done. You literally are helping the AI overlords now.

I've seen many actual legit digital artists getting hit with the cries of AI slop and even banned, when they have been making art for years before AI was even a thing. People actually can't tell the difference half the time when they think they can, and end up hurting real artists.

Now is not the time to be attacking each other over using AI to generate some stupid meme. There are much, MUCH bigger issues at stake right now, and calling everything AI slop does nothing to help.

Check asklemmy at Lemmy.world for an example.

We don't seem to be getting comments.

Before the server migration, many many comments.

The last few days, no one has replied to posts in this community. Before that, at least one comment and others over 100. And then it just seemed to stop, and the last few questions weren't undeserving of interaction. Was there a defederation?

What about when it's like 5 or 6 people taking their chameleons to socialise together?

But did anyone play 4? I couldn't get into it, everything was a dirty brown colour.

The worst thing about AI (self.lemmyshitpost)

The worst thing about AI being integrated into drive-thrus, voice portals, etc is now I have to unlearn being polite and considerate in my interactions

I had a dream recently where I was guiding a civilisation over multiple thousands of years. Att the end of the dream when they had finally overcome their problems, one of them said to me 'being a person, when really you're just a blob of goo, is the most profound thing you could ever do.'

And it hit me so hard. All I am is a bunch of cells held together in a skin bag. And yet I'm a person with feelings and experiences and desires. And I did that, I live it. It makes us all so valuable.

Have your dreams ever had effects on you like that?
