I wanted to use the deck as a PC but I couldn't do any dev work on it without jumping through hoops thanks to a lack of tooling provided and the immutable nature of SteamOS.

However, replacing StreamOS with CachyOS Handheld has reopened doors there in a big way.

I’ll take it a step further and say that most of the people I’ve worked with have been amazing. Really just some very enjoyable people to be around.

Something about the field though seems to really attract the super assholes and they’re so assholish that they color the perception of the whole field.

It’s really unfortunate how a very loud, very obnoxious minority can have such an outsized impact.

Too bad but not unexpected. I think the game itself had potential; I like the classless concept and there was a “just go out and play” feel that was cool.

The story, however, was… was there a story? I honestly can’t remember one. Also the PvP systems were dumb.

I mean, ATP has only been around for two years, mastodon has been around for 8 years with 6 years of development on AP.

Development takes time, I feel like “show it to me now or it’s a lie” is a poor take.
