It's probably just an extra charge they can throw at you if your house ever gets searched. Fuck hobby enthusiasts I guess

There's billions of people in the world. Someone somewhere is always going to have it worse. But that doesn't mean the problems you're facing right now are insignificant and should just be ignored just cause someone you've never met in a place you've never been to is suffering more than you on some arbitrary pain scale.

Your problems and pains are valid.

I'm not a full on socialist, more of a socialite.

That was actually not as bad as I thought it would go. I figured more of the house would be on fire.

What's really embarrassing about this is how they just scrub this from their history as if it never happened. They made a bold move that didn't work out and instead of learning from it so they can do better next time or even trying to educate others on what went wrong, they just remove it from their history books.

One of my neighbors has a plain grass lawn. And to his credit, he puts in a lot of work into it. I'll see him multiple times a week spending hours maintaining it, buying and spreading mulch, watering, trimming, raking, the works.

But it just looks so boring and unnatural. I can't imagine why he would put in all that time, money, and effort into something so unremarkable.

The trees are just asking for a high five. It would be rude of me to leave them hanging.

The benefit is that the politicians get richer.

Oh wait did you mean what's in it for the regular everyday people? Nothing, as always.

thank mr skeltal

Here's a boring mundane reason that could be fun. Ancient Egyptian pyramid builders were given beer as payment.

You could have the local evil person have an army of builders building some evil building, supplementing their pay with beer. Such a massive work force would require a lot of beer siphoning off most of the local supply. As the beer supply dwindles, the price increases.
