I think - correct me if I'm wrong - that 'internet search' is a thing that might be helpful here. What that can do (assuming that I didn't dream it) is allow you to compile a list of music festivals that lean towards your preferred genres. From there, you may be able to figure out what you'll need to compromise on (duration, cost, location) and even find somewhere to book tickets. I believe altavista, or maybe it was astalavista, or possibly 'yahoo', were some of the sites. It's been a long time, and like I say, 'twas perhaps just a particularly vivid recurring dream I used to have...

I do, I just use abstractions and metaprogramming layers to do so more efficiently. Sounds like your workflow could use improving

I think that given that the whole point of the fediverse is human-centric, the default position has to be 'fuck the shitty mimicks of humanity'

92-98 when they stopped all being white Europeans. Although I have girls and can confirm that 2009's Princess and the Frog is the best Disney princess film.

Relative to what? Do you know how much water and energy goes into a single bing query? Into leaving your laptop in standby overnight instead of turning it off? Into using your phone whilst you take a shit instead of reading a book or playing with a yo-yo? Do you know how much water and energy goes into electronically paying for a pack of gum with a card? With a phone? With a watch? What about into building your house? Your office? Your car? Your gym? How much is used up by keeping a dog for precisely one year? How much, in total future cost to humanity's resource consumption, if you have a child?

No I don't fucking know, it's a completely unrealistic standard to hold people to.

I mean also I studied philosophy and have had no regrets. It's awesome and fascinating and rich and appeals to the fact that you just know that the world doesn't really make sense

Babel fish, you say?

But actually I intended to indicate something more here... Almost all of these will have spoken English and it's a bit slanted y'know? I'd take Aristotle lol

I think you're missing nuance with 'mammals have two sexes. Period' - there's a range of intersex possibilities, chromosomes that don't match organs, chromosomes that aren't xx or xy (e.g xxy), genetic chimeras with more than one set of sex chromosomes. What you mean is 'usually'

Sometimes you just need to document the business reason behind what you're doing, regardless of how clear the code might be 😆

A new London bus costs around £300k, so whilst is plausible that the watch cost more than my 'car', it's a pretty stupid way of spending that amount of money...

Don't knock being perpetually high. Some of my best code I wrote in my mid-20s
