You can set up Cloudflare as your CDN and turn on CSAM detection. It will automatically block links to known CSAM from the managed global CSAM hash lists.
If you want something in addition to that, you can use db0’s plugin that adds in a similar capability.

and honestly it's so much nicer to program with a small keyboard. everything is exactly where you need it to be. I don't ever have to reach for a key, as they're all right there. And I can make them do literally anything I want. So many benefits of a small keyboard over a full size.
Your logic doesn’t make any sense. They make money off of people paying for a service or watching ads. If you’re blocking ads then you’re costing Google money and no creators are getting paid. If you’re paying for the service then you don’t get ads, and you pay the creators, and you pay for Google to keep running the service.

I’m kinda with the other person…go with an Apple, even a cheap air will work better than any windows option (my m2 air literally works better with adobe stuff than my custom built gaming pc with a 3080 in it). Yeah the storage thing sucks, but you should be using a NAS for your data storage anyway, and if you do really need it for things like travel, you can always get an m.2 nvme USB stick and put literally whatever size m.2 in it you want. But yeah, the storage situation sucks in Apple land.

I'm biased (I created programming.dev), but I think lemmyrs.org should definitely not be the main site, but that goes for any site with "lemmy" in the name. The entire purpose of federation is that the software doesn't matter. If things go south with lemmy in the future, or people fork it, or just want to migrate to different software you've now completely tied the identity of the site to the software it's running on, which just really seems dumb to me. The reason I chose programming.dev as the name is several reasons.
Of course, these are my own opinions, but I did think for a long time about it before settling on the website name, while it seems most server owners did not really think at all about their site names.
That’s not “exactly” what they mean, as the difference between what you think they’re saying and other commenters think is clearly different. Is la croix or bubbly allowed? If not then what about a hard seltzer? If those are allowed then why isn’t lemon water allowed? If those aren’t allowed then where is the line? Gatorade is seltzer water without the bubbles and with electrolytes. It’s clear that OP’s question was not well thought out, hence why so many people here have a problem with it.

correct. I've been looking for the thread to try and find it for you, but haven't been having any luck. People have been discussing exactly that though, but it seems like it could cause some problems with vote faking. Anyway, it is being worked on!
