Good grief that title is horrendous.

“The co-accused of a rapist who allegedly conspired with other men to drug and sexually abuse his wife can be named for the first time after reporting restrictions were lifted.”

Why in the world is Israel included anyway? Europe ends at the Bosphorus Strait.

It’s not technically fiber at all. Your connection is copper, it doesn’t matter how fast the internet downstream is, you will always be limited by the copper.

For those that aren’t sure if you have fiber, the fiber will literally run into your “modem” (your Optical Network Terminal or ONT) and it will be incredibly clear that you have fiber. The wire is incredibly thin and they will warn you about bending it too much. If you don’t have that then you don’t have fiber.

Edit: to be more clear, just because there’s a 50Tb connection between the US and Europe doesn’t mean that you have a 50Tb connection. Downstream speeds do not matter to your home connection.

Judy Crook, who runs the bookshop, told the Guardian that, though as “a point of basic Christian belief, we welcome everybody”, they did not want to promote homosexuality and “we’re not happy with the gay rights situation”.

“We have to respect other people’s views. But we didn’t want the flag flying outside our shop.”

She even admits it’s not Christianity saying to hate LGBTQ folk. She’s just a bigot.

It’s not even a plot hole here (though there are a million plot holes in the books). They literally use the truth serum on Barty Crouch Jr and he fesses up.

Except it has the opposite effect. Now people who have their lemmy configured to filter out the word “suicide” in posts get to see this post because there’s no way in hell they have it configured for every “redacted” version of the word.

Yeah how much is this “office” going to cost the taxpayers? I would guess a lot more than $100k on a sunfish experiment.

Anywhere you’ve got decades long republicans in office you will find it extremely hard to vote in America. Elsewhere it’s relatively easy. In Colorado I literally don’t do anything, a booklet explaining all the laws shows up in the mail a few weeks before the ballots do, then the ballot shows up and I can either drop it off in one of the numerous drop boxes, put it in the mail, or ignore it and go vote in person where the lines are short because nobody votes in person.

Switching to Fish was the best decision I ever made in my terminal. Besides using tmux.
