Thanks for your work on this release and on this app in general. Avelon becomes my main app to browse Lemmy!

The main feature that I’m missing is the ability to collapse all a comment thread with a swipe gesture.

I agree with you, I totally understand your point about “beautiful UX/UI vs privacy, privacy win”. That’s the whole point of my question. I currently use Spark because it’s convenient, but I dislike this kind of tool / platform / services and I’m trying to find alternatives. Even if I loose a bit on the “practical” side…

I really like Spark. The only thing that bothers me with Spark is that they have full access to my emails, and it's not very clear what they're used for.

I regularly try Apple Mail on MacOS, but I'm never satisfied. In few words:

  • I need something like “smart notifications” to only notify for important emails, and not all my incoming emails
  • Group emails (like what Gmail do), for exemple Newsletters, Notifications/ Promotional, …

If possible, I would like to use the same app on MacOS and iOS (iPad & iPhone). But Apple Mail is the worst app I've ever tested…

I’m currently using Spark (Desktop on MacOS + app on iPhone & iPad), the app is really good but not in term on privacy, dependent to a 3rd party, ….

What are you using for your emails on MacOS?

Ah, support for Lemmy community links is missing I guess 😅 Avelon opens the link in Mail. Anyway, thanks for the very good work, I already love the app (Memmy user here)

Thanks for you work. Hope things will go well for you and your family. Take care

Oh yes I’ve just noticed that this is the case in 0.1.0 (11) Thanks for mentioning it!

Hi team,

Thanks a lot for the great work on Memmy!

I don’t know if it’s possible (I don’t know if Apple authorize it) but is it possible to open links in the « native safari browser » instead of this « embedded browser » like currently when I click a link in a post? I have extensions configured in Safari, and don’t seem to be used when navigating to a link from a post in Memmy. Perhaps a switch in the settings to let the user decide how to open external links?

Already reported (https://github.com/Memmy-App/memmy/issues/395) but yes I agree it’s a bit annoying. Seems to be fixed in the next release 🤞

You have to force your iOS browser into « desktop mode » to access the web version of fb messenger on iOS. It’s just « working », not really usable through….

This website is really cool! Thanks for the link

I can’t find the reason of this yellow background. Because the comment is posted by a specific account?
