I have to agree. The decision likely made sense at the time, but not anymore.
I do think longer shelf life of apples isn't something we need though. We already store them far too long ๐. I'd prefer they work on apples with the same shelf life but that don't taste like they have been on the shelf that long.
Agreed. Or climate change adaptations to crops we need
