I have to agree. The decision likely made sense at the time, but not anymore.

I do think longer shelf life of apples isn't something we need though. We already store them far too long ๐Ÿ˜†. I'd prefer they work on apples with the same shelf life but that don't taste like they have been on the shelf that long.
