We got an air fryer I think last Christmas (a year ago), and it does get it's fair share of use. Great for reheating things that a microwave does a poor job at. I think my biggest complaint is all the wind 😆. You put a slice of pizza in, and it better be a big heavy one or the wind will blow it upside down! Can't do mouse traps for the same reason!

Makes much better chips than the over, and great for pretty much any of the over meals like cordon bleu, toppers, chicken nuggets, etc. My mother in law uses it for sticky things as well like chops, ribs, etc, and it comes out great.

Dishwashers can be pretty resilient, if it's a good one then it might be worth getting someone to come and look at it. For a few hundred you may be able to get it repaired and get some more life out of it. At 20 years it might be on it's last legs but it really depends what the issue is. Personally I prefer a repair bill to having to choose a new dishwasher, take the old one out, install the new one, then dispose of the old one.

The matress you can probably just put up with a bit longer if you're already on too much of a spending spree 😛

Ours is one of the Ninja dual drawer ones, it has a reheat function which seems to use less air flow. I successfully reheated pizza and made toast without it flying around! or it might be that the buckets are smaller.

I'm pretty sure it's my fault as I said either earlier this year or maybe last year that I wish the dishwasher would die so we could get a new one. It came with the house and I'm certain it's from the early 2000's or even the original when the house was built in 2000. It's so damn loud when it's running.

I don't know how much longer we can wait for a new mattress 😅 Both of us have been getting sore backs and bad sleeps for the last couple of years already, to the point we almost always have tight or sore back when we wake up now. Trying to find something really firm, but they're all so expensive 😒

Ah, we have one that we got for Christmas that I'm 90% sure was purchased with flybuys points. Russel Hobb brand I think? One big tray, very windy! I don't think it has special modes but then again I haven't actually looked for that. The obvious buttons just let you adjust the temperature and time.

Ah, that's really quite impressive. Go on, get yourself a new one! We got a Miele one that was near the top of the Consumer picks, ordered online and installed myself. I loved that dishwasher, but then we moved house only a few months later (wasn't planned at the time of purchase). The new place already had a Bosch one and I just couldn't be bothered doing all the work to swap them when they should have been as good as each other. I still wish I had, though.

People say you shouldn't skimp on the things that separate you from the ground. Probably supposed to prioritise this over a new dishwasher.

I was once in a bed shop and they had king sized beds with remote controls that could make the bed bend in multiple places, seperately on each side. Could get it into all sorts of positions, for the low low cost of only $10k. This was 15 years ago or more so you can probably get it for only $20k now. Don't skimp on your health!

Oh man I'd love a Miele one but don't know if I can justify the cost. Some of the Bosch Series 6 dishwashers seem decently priced at the moment. I mean if we could live for the last 6 years with a 20 year old one, we probably don't need a top of the line one. I just got to make sure whoever delivers it can remove the old one, as I have no way to dispose of it.

Yeah been thinking about the bed for the last couple months and really want to get it sorted. Nothing fancy, just need a mattress. I just want to make sure it's really firm. Probably going to try one of the online ones that have 100 day trials so I can return if we're not happy. No $10K beds for us, no thank you 😂. We also just switched to buckwheat pillows to see if it helps, I like them as I used one when I was younger, but it hasn't alleviated the back pains.

I think some other brands of Air Fryers have the ability to control fan speed, but they're probably more expensive. To be honest I really don't rate most Russell Hobbs small appliances. We got a food steamer a couple of years ago for less than $50, but it's RRP is like $129! With the quality and simplicity of it, $50 was already pushing it haha

I see those Bosch Series 6 are about $2.5k, we only spent $2k on the Miele (sorry I can only find the paypal email with the price and not the model). It was on the consumer recommended list but I don't have access anymore because my Mum cancelled her subscription 😆.

Nah me neither. They all feel like generic appliances that get a Russel Hobbs sticker on them. I wouldn't be surprised to find the same appliance for sale in other countries with a different logo.

Heathcotes (local to me) has a Series 6 for $1699 currently, however I need to actually confirm our old one is broken.. we haven't used it since the other night. Do you remember where you bought your Miele from?

I don't think it comes or goes back through the normal couriers 😂I know the likes of Ecosa usually just donate the returned mattresses to the salvation army and just get them to pick it up in their trucks. We're thinking of getting a latex one from peacelily.co.nz. And also trying to figure out how to dispose of our old mattress if we do keep it!

I just ordered the Miele online. I installed it myself and disposed of the old one ourself (after it spent ages in the shed). Councils usually have tips on disposing of whiteware.

Haha I have heard before you can get the Ecosa mattresses cheaper by looking for the returned ones at salvation army stores. Not sure if that's still the case. Anyway I'd prefer full latex vs memory foam type which we've had for a long time already. I don't know I feel kind of bad to give an unsupportive mattress away to someone knowing they'll be waking up with sore backs sooner or later 😂

Honestly I think you'll likely pay $20-30 regardless so if you aren't paying extra to buy through them then that's probably a pretty good deal.

Different people like different mattresses. It might be their jam. Or might be for a guest room that doesn't get slept in often. Or they might be young, young people can sleep anywhere and not even notice.
