Lol.

Zelensky is alive.

Charlie Kuck is dead.

There have been dozens upon dozens of plots to assassinate Zelensky. There has only been one against Charlie Kirk.

One and done baby.

Is it a plot if it was a lone gunman?

[-] deadbeef79000 24 points 1 year ago

Yes. You're thinking of conspiracy which requires more than one participant.

[-] HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world 14 points 1 year ago

yeah plotting just needs graphs and protractors and shit

[-] deadbeef79000 8 points 1 year ago

Technically correct. The best kind of correct.

Alternatively you could use CAD
and the medium is stringent, a plotter... oh no

a plan made in secret by a group of people to do something illegal or harmful.

From Oxford, hence my question

It's a semantics question, nothing political. Since plot is defined by Oxford as

a plan made in secret by a group of people to do something illegal or harmful.

https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/plot

4

[perhaps back-formation from complot]  : a secret plan for accomplishing a usually evil or unlawful end : INTRIGUE

So it doesn’t have to be by a group.

I think you are thinking of “conspiracy” which requires two or more people.

Rules:

  1. No sympathy with the enemy or its collaborators. Russian and North Korean soldiers are fascists committing a genocide. Remember that.

  2. Objective and factual reporting from the battlefield, parliaments, etc. is encouraged, even if it's about bad news for Ukraine.

  3. Insulting Putin and his cronies (Orban, Trump, Musk,...) is absolutely fine but don't use homophobic or similar language against them. Members of the queer community don't deserve to be compared to that scum. Also: Putin disciminates against gay people. If you do as well, you're part of the problem.

  4. Don't insult or use overly harsh language against other commentators.

  5. Don't submit direct links to Twitter/X and Truth Social posts. You may: Post a screenshot + quote, do a full quote and name the author, direct link to a proxy service like ThreadReaderApp.com or Nitter, deep link an image embedded in a tweet because Lemmy will cache a copy.

  6. Don't just complain about paywalls. If you encounter one, be a sport and link to an archived version instead. Use Firefox + Cookie AutoDelete + uBlock Origin with the annoyances filters enabled and https://filterlists.com/lists/bypass-paywalls-clean-filter to avoid encountering many in the first place.
