Hes been quoted saying "today's cancle culture, woke culture really bothers me" I'm paraphrasing. He says he feels talking about politics is bad for him. I get not wanting to talk about politics, but, if youre not for trump you would come out and say it because no one would ever want it to be a question. And hes just a dick in general.
he sounds like republican, just like i suspected he was mentioned of being one in the subs.
This sounds like a reasonable take to me. Not wanting to publicly talk about politics makes a person a fascist?
Saying you dont like woke culture is very indicative. Very understandable not to want to talk about politics, but, with orange Mussolini in charge you would want no confusion where you stand unless you support him.
funny you should mention rock being a rightie, alot of WWE wrestlers are magaty, KANE, undertaker, stone cold. dont know about cenas leanings. as thier audience is often on the right anyways.
I feel like professional entertainers (who aren't hateful bigots) can have a valid point about dislike 'woke culture', that's completely separate from "politics".
The culture wars are basically integral to entertainment these days. Media companies are using rage bait to promote their movies.
It's easy for us anons to throw salt when we can just disengage as our mental health requires.
I don't know actually if The Rock is a facsist, but barring real evidence I think you're watering down the term here.
There are two reasons someone wouldn't disclose their personal politics. One is they are in danger. The other is they are the danger.
He is in danger, or rather his career is in danger, if he voices his political opinion, no matter what direction he takes.
That doesn't disprove the second option mind you. But wanting to be left the fuck alone in the current hellscape that is american politics doesn't make you a fascist. It at most makes him a coward.
if its R his career would be dead(like chris "cant keep his mouth shut" pratt.), and he loves being a movie star. there is some leeway if he leans the other way.
If he said something in that ballpark, it's stupid either way. Especially if he broke that anyway because he had to be concerned about "woke culture".
I guess I'd need more context, but The Rock isn't exactly someone I feel is being constantly prodded on politics, at least from interviews he chooses to take.
there is speculation he leans R though, but he know well enough not to stir the pot, much like SINESE dint until recently.
So much for "keeping politics to myself"
Guess I shouldn't be surprised, all of these people put on a fake demeanor for the cameras and it's not authentic.
And his head got so big he practically had to have the DCEU written around him. He refused to be a villain in the Shazam movie and demanded his own Black Adam film where he's more of an anti-hero instead of straight up bad guy who defeats the bad guy
oh yea everyone was criticizing DWANYE for the black adam movie, and the shazam has its own crazy going on, the "shazam guy" turns out to be a looney person too.
