I prefer to note them down, but I am too lazy so I just reset it 5 times strategically so that I remember it for 3 days without using it.

Sure.

But I have access to my passwords across most devices (Firefox plugins on desktop, apps on phones.) the best part is they fill it in so you can have ridiculously long and rand passwords.
