I can't help but think showing no compassion towards the inability of a child to radically alter the state of the environment in which they are raised to meet your set of values may be an opinion best kept to yourself.

Neither article indicates Da'Jon escalated the situation. You simply do not have enough information to conclude that without drawing from your own biases. I also notice you only denounce the child's "violence", omitting that of the police and the pedophile himself.
