If not, and we are still in consent that copying is not stealing... well, then the more fitting analog would be that it is terribly easy to make a photo of your car
If i put a garden gnome outside i'd expect people to be decent and not steal it and send it to space.
And if they do send it to space I'd at least like to get a postcard. From space.

Also yes and no, depend on the circumstance. If someone download a video to watch it personally, then that wouldn't be stealing. If they then reupload to direct traffic to themselves and denying the original creator revenue, then that's stealing, but not the art, it's the revenue.
It's really about expecting people to be decent, punching up instead of punching down. If someone really wanted to be left alone in this AI infested era and doesn't want their art to be scraped and trained, then leave them be. What worst, those are independent artist that usually already struggling, not millionaires.
We didn’t. The definition of stealing means taking something without permission. Has nothing to do with physical items.
All the people using adblockers and pirating are going to be angry.
Why? I wouldn’t call viewing a publicly accessible site stealing. It’s published to the public, therefore the permission to view it is given.
But even if you do want to classify it as stealing, so what?
Big tech is stealing our data constantly. I have no issues stealing things of my own. 🏴☠️

I already addressed the fact that you have permission to view public sites.
When NFT bros where claiming digital ownership, we rightfully made fun of them. Now we want to protect our images and have forgotten that it can't be done by technology alone.
If you keep your stuff in your house, it's easy to steal. Otherwise people wouldn't be able to break your door down.

Wow I really don't know what the downvotes are all about because your point is pretty much correct.
Real world example: If you hang up an image in a public space people can and will take pictures of it. You can't stop this.
The whole thing has pretty much nothing to do with AI...
