You mean like everyone has done for over 100 years until just a few years ago? Hell, Japan didn't require backup cameras on new models sold in Japan until 2022. Virtually none of these cars in these photos have backup cameras...

My car is just old enough to not have a camera, I've driven two friends around that have commented about the struggle of backing up without a camera.

A lot of modern cars have such tiny rear windows, which are then additionally obscured by rear seat head rests, you pretty much need a camera to see anything. There's a Polestar model that doesn't have a rear window at all.

I've never had one in any of my cars. It's a nice to have but not in any way necessary. The only thing I'd need one is to know how far I'm from the bumper of the car behind me. Usually I drive as close as I dare to and when I go check there's at least a meter wide gap still.
Since these are private parking spots, wheel stops are probably installed.

Aiming for the hole to backup into seems difficult.
