In some cases I would guess they leave it in neutral and push it in.
They just open the door and exit on the right side of their vehicle where the wheel is positioned
That works for the one kei truck but there are other pictures of vehicles that don't seem to have any obvious exit.

Seeing that architecture makes me sad the US has so many building rules that are incredibly stupid like zoning laws, standardized home layouts, and setback requirements. It'd be nice to have my home go all the way to the edge of the sidewalk like practically any other sane country.
When you have infinite-ish land you think to fill them with parking spots. When you have barely any land you want to use as little of it as possible.

Overall I'm not super happy to live where I do now, but one thing I'm grateful for is that there's ample parking everywhere I go.
The reverse for me. I'm very happy to live where I do, because there's very little parking. More room for humans, shops, bikes, less for carbrained drivers with anger issues. Just overall a safer and more comfortable environment to live in.
Makes me question if red fence owner lives in that little hut above the car.
Is there some documentary about small/unusual living places and how they do things like cooking, washing, store clothes n stuff etc?
I've seen various youtube vids about coffin homes/bedspace apartments, and tiny homes are definitely a thing that has a following, so I wouldn't be shocked to hear about a documentary about them, but I don't know any off hand.
