If we weren't stuck in this two party system, the Democratic party would have been made obsolete a long time ago.

There really need to be viable 3rd, 4th, 5th+ parties, plus an expansion of the number of representatives at all legislative bodies.

The concentration of representation at the Federal and state levels has made it easy to be captured by concentration of wealth.

When the Constitution was written in 1776, the US had about 2.5 million people.

Our current population in 2026 of about 350 million makes the House statistically identical to the Senate in terms of power share per member.

The same goes for most state legislative bodies.

And the Republican party too tbh. Tea Party, Maga, centrist neolibs, whatever the Mormons are doing, those are all their own brand of conservative

they all became one party, there isnt a split in the gop. they realize they need to combine forces or they will lose elections. something the dnc isnt willing to figure out.

BS.

Establishment dems aren’t even pretending to throw a bone to progressives anymore.

The only thing establishment dems give progressives is “we are the (slightly) less of two evils — vote for us or we will become even more evil.”

Republicans get something for their vote, even if it’s sadistic cruelty.

Progressives get nothing but blame when the “electable” candidates lose.

And establishment Dems say "vote blue no matter who!" until they actually have to vote blue — then they vote for Republicans: https://www.yahoo.com/news/politics/articles/mike-rogers-touts-democratic-defectors-161402279.html
