I read that comment before I read the article, and it reads quite differently seeing that that excludes this start of the sentence:

i.e. I take that as the literal opposite: they can predict and avoid that situation.

Updated to include the whole thing. I typically look for places to shorten and maintain the reason I’m quoting. You’re right in this case it kinda changes tone.

Either way, it’s… odd. Not even sure what it means.

Yeah what does that even mean... Every single one of us wears a mask at work and I feel like making that statement about interviews in general is very strange

You can't silence your way out of your skin. Your skin follows you. Its likely tied to culture that's not the same. It's associated with being inferior by way of statistics in ways white people don't. If you're a woman, now it's even harder
