Maybe the tech industry mostly sucks? Most programmers will write anything for the right cost, regardless of how evil a company overtly acts? I hope I'm just being cynical but I assume most think "if I don't work for this company someone else will".

I glanced over a few other blog posts from the blog. The guy is describes himself as a troublemaker and has a whole blog post on how it is hard to be nice to people.
And the guy has a track record of posting highly racist comments to boot.
This is from the last half a dozen blog posts.
Perhaps the guy is going through a mental breakdown. Perhaps not. But I'd be hard pressed to pick this guy over any other candidate.

You can't silence your way out of your skin. Your skin follows you. Its likely tied to culture that's not the same. It's associated with being inferior by way of statistics in ways white people don't. If you're a woman, now it's even harder

They’re getting “it’s not you it’s us” again and again in an interview.
Sounds like “it’s not that your ideals are wrong, it’s that we can’t live up to your standards”.
This is not to say that Jacky should abandon his ideals, but be willing and able to realize when they have to make compromises in order to get work done.
This dude maybe should learn to keep his mouth shut and play the game. Delete the blog, wipe the presence, reset the online identity. Until he finds a job, he could contribute to opensource to have something to show, or retrain in some other thing like a trade job.
Being loud on the internet and showing that you can and will be a problem for the company, even if you're fighting the good fight, will get you in trouble. Unless of course he finds a job with like-minded people.
My online identity isn't tied to my real identity. At least, I try hard not to because otherwise I'll have to add a disclaimer to every post "these are my views and not that of my employer". The more you give to recruiters, the more reasons they have not to pick you. Your online presence (if any) must be the cleanest, most professional that you can manage - especially if you're a minority.
People posting with their real names should just learn to STFU sometimes. Free speech doesn't mean "no consequences".
