- Comics should be a full story, from start to finish, in one post.

- Moderators have final say on what and what does not qualify as appropriate. Use common sense, and if need be, err on the side of caution.

- Comics should be made and posted by real human beans, not by automated means like bots or AI. This is not the community for that sort of thing.

π½οΈ Credit Where Credit is Due
- Comics should include the original attribution to the artist(s) involved, and be unmodified. Bonus points if you include a link back to their website. When in doubt, use a reverse image search to try to find the original version. Repeat offenders will have their posts removed, be temporarily banned from posting, or if all else fails, be permanently banned from posting.
- Attributions include, but are not limited to, watermarks, links, or other text or imagery that artists add to their comics to use for identification purposes. If you find a comic without any such markings, it would be a good idea to see if you can find an original version. If one cannot be found, say so and ask the community for help!

- Post an image, gallery, or link to a specific comic hosted on another site; e.g., the author's website.
- Meta posts about the community should be tagged with [Meta] either at the beginning or the end of the post title.

Earlier today someone replied to a comment I made a year ago.
I upvoted them.

edit: To give a more thorough answer, I object to these broad statements like "plastic recycling is a scam". Maybe it is in some countries, I know it isn't in my country. So if you make statements like this, at least use something better than a five year old youtube video.
Fair enough, but Climate Town is a very well researched and put-together channel, and they cite their research. If any of this has changed significantly in the market he's explicitly talking about (North America), then I can see your frustration. But I don't think it's gotten much better, especially not in the USA.
A big part of the video, if you get around to watching it is about how plastic recycling is objectively something born from an industry scam. It's a scam because they knew the recycling couldn't work how they were promising it would, and they pushed it anyways to evade accountability.
Some countries surely handle things better than North America, but that doesn't automatically make plastic recycling a completely legitimate venture that isn't laden with deception and and bullshit. I'm Canadian, and I know we don't handle recycling in the best way. Do I still sort my trash, and recycle everything I'm able to? Of course! Anything is better than nothing, and Rollie explicitly says so in the video...
But it's still accurate: the idea of recycling plastic is born from deception & lies, for the sake of money. If lying for money isn't a scam, I don't know what is.
are you witholding actual evidence that things have changed for... fun? or because you don't have any? almost no plastic can even be recycled in the first place, and nearly all of that plastic bears fake logos implying it's recyclable.
sure, i can freely put whatever plastic i want in my recycling bins, but that doesn't mean anything on its own. it still gets separated out and sent to a landfill.
I gues you live in the USA then, because putting plastics in landfills is banned in my country. Also, this is how it is in the European Union. Not perfect, but over 40% recycled isn't nothing. Now, wheres your evidence that everything from the recycling bin goes to landfills?
I think the onus would be on you to explain why the 5 year old video is no longer accurate. Otherwise...
I made another comment, but in the EU it's over 40% of plastic waste recycled in 2022.
