i fell for the rewrite in rust meme (self.Posttoday)

I was working on a game for months in Godot and it was going well but I had this itch where i couldn't help but think that maybe things would be easier if I was using rust(ive never used rust).

Well I'm a week into the rewrite and I can safely safe it did not make things easier. Much harder in fact.

That all being said I'm having a lot of fun learning about rust. God there is so much to learn and it made me realise how many concepts are smoothed over by using GDscript.

I think you went into the endeavour with the wrong expectations - that it would be easier if using Rust, especially considering that you had never used Rust.

Yes but its all fun and thats what these hobby projects are about. I'm still leaving the client in Godot because I'm not feeling like doing ui in rust. But I have been learning to write an api. Its currently a giant match statement but im looking into fixing that.
