I can't help but think someone who doesn't know what a 5090 is would be helped with the letters GPU.

I mean, they can now search "5090 GPU" instead of just a number and see themselves what a 5090 is, if someone managed to use lemmy, they can manage to use a search engine

Tbf they could already just search 5090 and likely get relevant results, the number isn't that popular in other contexts. I opened a new private browsing session and the first two results for just "5090" were nvidia and a local electronics retailer (I used google, it gives you results by country by default)

Yeah ofc but with such generic wording you cannot be sure to get the right thing, it happens to me way too often, 2 words is the minimum to get decent results for most searches
