I've lived my whole life in Saskatchewan on Daylight time. It's fine. Everyone else in Saskatchewan that I know is fine. The changing clocks is worse than staying on Daylight time.

It's not. It's the same effort to pick one or the other. Choosing the worst one just because is stupid.

The worst option is continuing to change the clocks. Both daylight and standard time are better options with only a slight advantage to standard time over daylight. Choosing not to change the clocks at all is the far more beneficial step. Which time they choose to stay on is a much smaller benefit.

At least it didn't turn into "well we can't agree on which time we want, so we won't stop changing the clocks at all." Which is what happened in Alberta quite a while ago and is absolutely ridiculous. Stop changing the clocks! Either time is better than the flip-flop.

Yeah, exactly. Our marking of time is an arbitrary construct, so if you look for advantages at one end of the year for school or work, you'll have to adjust at the other end.

If China can operate under one singular BST zone, then people will adjust to this.

Well there was that one business guy who wrote an article in the paper twice a year about how Saskatchewan should adopt this stupid ritual of changing times, I always thought he would get his wish when the rest of Canada started to follow are lead. My aunt who owns a business told me once that she wished Saskatchewan would follow that ritual because it is always confusing when trying to schedule business meetings across Canada, this was after Yukon decided to stop with the silliness so I am not sure why she thought it wasn’t going to be a matter of time before the rest of Canada followed suit. Now what I wish for is that all of Canada followed one time zone, like the EU and China, sure from the east coast to the west coast we span about 25% of the globe but what is time really? Sure people would have to get used to, hopefully GMT and change of the idea of a 9 to 5 to something else depending on location, but people would get used to it.
