How did they not disqualify her once there was shit running down her legs?

From what I read elsewhere, it sounded like a situation the officials were simply unprepared to deal with, and there was nothing in the rules about it. Just not something that has happened before or had been thought of as a possibility. I have the impression this is a newer sport, not something that has been around for decades or even centuries, like running.

Probably. I can imagine them like "what do we do? Spitting on the equipment is against the rules but it doesnt say anything about shitting"
