We're all gonna die! seems like a pattern is developing here with a firm called Irregular which mysteriously fails to put their equivalent of a NACL or just something that doesn't allow outbound traffic when they conduct their network penetration testing.
I can only infer you mean some sort of salt circle to keep the AGI demons at bay.
Tossing a lot of salt into the cooling fans helps to silence the daemons yes.
