I didn't realise it would be so controversial to say "maybe forgive the overheated rhetoric of someone who probably agrees with >80% of your politics but has clearly emotional issues around a subject", I'll try to keep in mind that respectability politics are still somehow respectable to some. Let's just all belittle anyone who doesn't talk perfectly, that's going to save the world any day now.
Literally what the hell are you talking about? We're not looking at same facts obviously. "I want to kill lots of people" is not "oh he's just letting off a little steam"
Oh, you're taking the guy at face value. Yeah no, that would be insane, right? I read him as a burned-out bad luck nebbish who has massive blatant trauma and talks shit (externalises) to cope. Not a hero by any means, but definitely a person in pain whose heart isn't that far from the right place.
Maybe I'm projecting, or maybe taking people at face value on social media is a recipe to have lots of pointless overheated arguments. Tough one to call, how about you keep doing that and let me know how it goes.
