Firefox just rolled out a visual update "Nova". Here's how to roll it back. (slrpnk.net)

Not a fan of the new look. If you're in the same boat, plug:

about:config

into your URL bar, and search for:

browser.nova.enabled

Toggle it to false using the button to the right.

There are functional changes that Nova also introduced: this won't effect those - only the aesthetic.

Firefox has long been the most customizable browser. It’s in our open source DNA. Now we’re adding more ways to make Firefox feel like yours, including new themes and wallpapers.

You used to actually be able to theme Firefox, is this returning? All you have now are crummy backgrounds to clutter the visually bland buttons and menus.

Edit: this was meant as a reply to the post linking to their blog. And it looks like the answer is ”no, eat your porridge”.

People still write full ui CSS overhaul sorts of themes, does that not count...?
