Shampoo rule (lemmy.nz)

Lol this is so true 😂
Men's shampoo (or any other shower product) sucks ass. It's why I started using women's everything, back at 16, waay before even starting HRT.
Still cis tho :3

Okay, listen...
I praise you big time for using conditioner. I don't think I know a single man who does...also body gel? Holy shit, some men actually take care of themselves?? /s
I'm proud of you ❤️

Both gendered versions of the products cost like 3 times more

👀
Time to become genderless...while in the shower 😆 /s

I'm proud of you ❤️

Don't. It's cuz I dyed my hair. For the color to stick I really started taking care of the hair. I still shower in like 10 mins tho lol.

Still proud of you 🩷
That's way more haircare than most men will ever do

I still shower in like 10 mins tho lol

To be fair...my showers don't take that long either, it's really the hair drying that takes ages 😆

I don’t think I know a single man who does…also body gel?

...that's weird? I thought that's just having a normal shower?

Shampoo for the hair, conditioner because long hair, shower gel for the body. Seriously wondering what people you've met in life.

conditioner because long hair, shower gel for the body

Uuuuuh, hello.
I don't know how to take care of long hair. I never used conditioner, just whatever says "shampoo" sorted by price from lowest (per amount, not bottle). I wish I could just get rid of it instead, but I have large psoriasis patch at the back of my head and neck, and the hair hides it. The only purpose, otherwise I'd rather go bald.
As for shower gel, I can't manage to wash it off with hard water, so I use bar soap. I also used to use bar soap for scalp and hair, but I figured it made the psoriasis worse.

If you have any sort of knotting in your hair, conditioner softens it so you can get it out without ripping out chunks of hair.

damn you gotta meet more gay bottoms. I think most of the ones I chat with are very good about taking care of our appearances.

I guess I've heard that before. Huh, that's neat! I'm so proud of you guys, please never stop 😭🙏

Moderator Guidelines

  • Don’t be mean to users. Be gentle or neutral.
  • Most moderator actions which have a modlog message should include your username.
  • When in doubt about whether or not a user is problematic, send them a DM.
  • Don’t waste time debating/arguing with problematic users.
  • Assume the best, but don’t tolerate sealioning/just asking questions/concern trolling.
  • Ask another mod to take over cases you struggle with, if you get tired, or when things get personal.
  • Ask the other mods for advice when things get complicated.
  • Share everything you do in the mod matrix, both so several mods aren't unknowingly handling the same issues, but also so you can receive feedback on what you intend to do.
  • Don't rush mod actions. If a case doesn't need to be handled right away, consider taking a short break before getting to it. This is to say, cool down and make room for feedback.
  • Don’t perform too much moderation in the comments, except if you want a verdict to be public or to ask people to dial a convo down/stop. Single comment warnings are okay.
  • Send users concise DMs about verdicts about them, such as bans etc, except in cases where it is clear we don’t want them at all, such as obvious transphobes. No need to notify someone they haven’t been banned of course.
  • Explain to a user why their behavior is problematic and how it is distressing others rather than engage with whatever they are saying. Ask them to avoid this in the future and send them packing if they do not comply.
  • First warn users, then temp ban them, then finally perma ban them when they break the rules or act inappropriately. Skip steps if necessary.
  • Use neutral statements like “this statement can be considered transphobic” rather than “you are being transphobic”.
  • No large decisions or actions without community input (polls or meta posts f.ex.).
  • Large internal decisions (such as ousting a mod) might require a vote, needing more than 50% of the votes to pass. Also consider asking the community for feedback.
  • Remember you are a voluntary moderator. You don’t get paid. Take a break when you need one. Perhaps ask another moderator to step in if necessary.
