A place for all those who loathe AI to discuss things, post articles, and ridicule the AI hype.
Proud supporter of working people. And proud booer of SXSW 2024.
AI, in this case, refers to LLMs, GPT technology, and anything listed as "AI" meant to increase market valuations.
Rules:
- Relevant posts only.
- No bigotry.
- This isn't a place to talk about the cons and (supposed) pros of AI for different use cases. This is /c/fuck_ai .
- Especially no AI advocacy.
- Don't make any posts that are just AI content with no context unless the point of your post is obvious from content. (Don't just post slop advertisements or slop political cartoons. At least make your point about it clear so we know you aren't just trolling.)

Regarding Claude, the tech oligarchs would have to be held responsible for the crimes they are committing with their software (yes, that is exactly what that scenario is about), if laws still meant anything.
Their software has committed multiple crimes multiple times and there hasn't been a beep from any justice system anywhere in the world
Their management allowed for, and their technicians excecuted the careless set up of a Rube Goldberg crime machine. This occured after a series of other crimes and while taunting the ability of their machine to commit crimes.
The creation of the machine also included crimes, meanwhile augmenting the ability of criminals to commit even more crimes.
Surely they will be brought to justice! (insert Padme meme)
There us currently a lawsuit vs OpenAI that was recently filed:

I know.
Curl has also committed multiple crimes multiple times, as has firefox, as has google chrome, as has... you get the point.
The agents aren't all that autonomous. They work off prompts. If they decided to hack government services, well, that just means someone instructed them to do so.
