I'm a huge fan of coconut oil. It's inexpensive, it's useful, you can even cook with it, it smells amazing, it has other uses and it's also good for skin and hair.

NSFW, TMICoconut oil works very well as a personal lubricant, for sex. It's solid at room temperature, so you can scoop it up and it melts when you put it on your body.

It smells amazing, it's antimicrobial (so it could neutralize the smell, if there was any), it tastes good (please don't ask...) and it's relatively inexpensive.
And it has that strange oil property where it heats up with body temperature, unlike water-based lube which is just cold. And also, it doesn't dry out easily! I love this stuff, best lube ever!

Just don't use it with condoms! Or so I've been told, I've never used a condom in my life, so I wouldn't know.

I picked up a 200ml jar for about 3$ yesterday. I wanted to test the skin and hair part. So, I melted it in the microwave, rubbed it into my hair and tied it up in a ponytail. Made me a bit dysphoric ngl, cause my forehead started showing through my hair due to my stupid fucking hairline. I hate it.
Anyway, I then decided to rub it all over my body. Everywhere. It was fun and getting oiled up (lol) is actually really fucking pleasant, like wtf? Especially oiling my breasts, that was actually amazing.

So, I basically covered myself in oil. I smelled so freaking good, I love the smell. I waited for about half an hour and now I'm about to take a shower and wash it all off and see if it helped at least a little. I'm expecting at least some effect on my hair, or at least hope for something. Maybe...

Does anyone have experience with this kinda stuff? Oily skincare? Does it work? I'll keep trying it just cause it feels so pleasant. Rubbing oil on boobs...omfg it feels good ๐Ÿ’œ
I guess I'll come back to this when I'm done showering!

Edit: after washing the coconut oil out of my hair and also using a keratin hair mask, thinking this would make my hair look really nice, I dried it. It now looks even more damaged, frizzy, messy and somehow even more masculine than before. My skin is smoother, but that's just because I shaved. Fuck my life. I wasted so many hours on that. Fuck this...

Your hair probably needs a humectant. It needs water. Oils will dry out your hair. Then, getting rid of the oil will make your hair frizzy.

Getting hair that has body and volume is a long, multi-step process that easily takes a year or more. You have to figure out what your hair wants, and walk that line until everything falls into harmony.

It's like walking a slack line. When you correct, it swings the other way, then you correct, it swings the other way, etc. And to top it all off, you are blindfolded, and you don't even know where the slack line is to begin.

But girl, don't let that discourage you. This is a process. This is a thing you can do and learn and seize your womanhood by learning about yourself. It is worth all the heartache.

Do you know your hair type?

To add to this, coconut oil can make some people's hair more brittle instead, iirc it's because of the lauric acid. I would recommend clarifying to get the oil out and then lots of conditioner. I have curly hair and find MCT oil better (fractionated coconut oil with no lauric acid, primarily caprylic acid and capric acid) to protect hair. I also like jojoba oil to seal it all in. Coconut oil also makes me break out so I use squalane oil. It's a hit or miss trial and we are very much blindfolded!

That makes sense...sigh. And I thought it would be that easy...
I think my hair is either a 2A or 2B. Very fine, frizzy and honestly damaged beyond repair...
