I don't care if you're four, fourteen, or forty; you can have all the damn candy you want.
If you turn up at my house wearing anything approaching a costume and you say "trick or treat" you get trick or treat.
You don’t have to have a costume on. I’ll give anyone candy on Halloween.
I do think you should at least try. Draw some stitches on your face and say you're a zombie skateboarder I don't care.
I’ve lived in areas with extremely disadvantaged people. It’s harder than you think to “at least try.” Especially for teens

Same. Didn’t get to have trick or treaters growing up - poor and lived far back from the street in a sketchy neighborhood. This is my first year with a chance and I’ll be damned if anyone comes up to my front steps and leaves empty handed.
