If you turn up at my house wearing anything approaching a costume and you say "trick or treat" you get trick or treat.
You don’t have to have a costume on. I’ll give anyone candy on Halloween.
I do think you should at least try. Draw some stitches on your face and say you're a zombie skateboarder I don't care.
I’ve lived in areas with extremely disadvantaged people. It’s harder than you think to “at least try.” Especially for teens

I prefer when people are in a costume, but it's Halloween. If you put in the effort to come to my house, you get candy.
