Lemmy.nz is now running the latest version of Lemmy. This is a massive update. Some more discussion is available here.

Please let me know if anything isn't working right. Hopefully there are some previous bugs that are fixed.

Feel free to reply with tips or new things you've discovered about this version!

Two important things:

  • 0.18.0 has breaking changes. If you use the mobile app Jerboa, this was updated to support 0.18.0 but no longer supports sites running the older version of Lemmy. If you use a different app, you might need to update it or even wait for an update to support 0.18.0
  • your browser will probably cache the old version of the page and everything will break. If you're on a computer then shift+refresh button should fix it, otherwise try clearing the site data in the settings. On a phone it might be trickier, but I had success holding down the refresh button on Firefox for Android.

It does go green when you tick it though. I had assumed this was an intended change. You can mark it as read, and it doesn't disappear straight away so you can undo it if you accidentally clicked that button.

What goes green?

It used to disappear right away so I am surprised they removed that feature.

When I press the tick, the tick goes green to indicate it's read.

This could well be an intended change.

That doesn't happen to me. Interesting.

I've tested on Firefox for Android and desktop Firefox and both do this. Interesting yours doesn't, maybe there it is a bug.
