Welcome to today’s daily kōrero!

Anyone can make the thread, first in first served. If you are here on a day and there’s no daily thread, feel free to create it!

Anyway, it’s just a chance to talk about your day, what you have planned, what you have done, etc.

So, how’s it going?

Thought for the day

What does self-care look like for you, how can you prioritize it in your daily life?

I find small moments to relax, between work and kids, I few minutes here and there. Especially after they boys are in bed, I read and go over the day with my partner.

I don't think I do enough. I'd like to get up earlier and have some time alone before anyone else wakes up, but I'm already so tired, I can't imagine getting up any earlier. Maybe I should go to bed earlier, but I already don't get much evening time after the kids are asleep 🙁

I know this struggle well, I'm up at 5:45 to get to work at 6:30. I'm home at 3ish and it is all kids until around 9 when we have the last one in bed and lunches made etc..

I have maybe 2 - 2.5 hrs in the evening before going to bed, for all of the other things.

That's impressive! I'm normally up at 6:30, get kids up and breakfast in from of them then start working about 7 (I work from home most of the time).

Our last kids is normally asleep around 9 or 9:30, and by 10:30 I'm headed to bed most days. Working from home does give me a bit of extra time in the day but I don't often use it productively.
