I saw a (-2 new) in the comment count, someone may have deleted comments.

Is this a bug?

I see it from time to time too. I don't think it's a bug, rather it's saying there are two less comments than last time you viewed the post.

If I look at the posts that show negative for me, I see comments that say "Deleted by creator", which seems to support the idea it's just people deleting their comments.
