It's interesting to see how our political parties have split apart in such a dramatic way, and become more extreme in their views. Labour and greens want to tax not just what you earn, but also what you own, and National and ACT are busy trashing everything they did.

It's also worth considering there is absolutely no chance the threshold stays at whatever they choose, and will, at best, not be adjusted for inflation, and at worst, be significantly lowered.

From memory, the Green policy didn't actually have a lower threshold for net worth.

Yes it did. $2 million net for individuals and $4m for couples.
