Last weeks thread here

Welcome to this week’s casual kōrero thread!

This post will be pinned in this community so you can always find it, and will stay for about a week until replaced by the next one.

It’s for talking about anything that doesn’t justify a full post. For example:

  • Something interesting that happened to you
  • Something humourous that happened to you
  • Something frustrating that happened to you
  • A quick question
  • A request for recommendations
  • Pictures of your pet
  • A picture of a cloud that kind of looks like a hippo
  • Anything else, there are no rules (except the rule)

So how’s it going?

How come nobody is reporting on covid anymore? From what I understand there has been a serious spike in cases over the last couple of weeks.

My wife got her flu jab earlier this week and the nurse recommended her to get a COVID booster if she can because cases are spiking again apparently. I think the general public doesn't care as much any more

I was under the impression that our vaccines have not been updated and are not very useful against the latest variants.

I don’t really know. I’m guilty too of not following any of the Covid news haha

There is a recently updated vaccine version, available from March.
