Adult Ragno (lemmy.nz)
submitted 2 months ago by UserChan__@lemmy.ml to c/artshare@lemmy.world

-After a long time away from this platform due to its toxicity and even racism (Not this community, of course), since I'm Latina and many people have been bothered that I know more about certain terms than they do—they think they own the culture and have the right to decide what is and isn't my art—I decided to occasionally share a drawing (This is my first time posting in this community). Personally, I'll continue posting most of my work on other networks; if you want to find me, ask for my usernames in the comments. Now, speaking of the drawing, a few days ago I watched Dragon Striker and I liked Ragno. He's very similar to a certain dragon I selfship with, so I drew my adult version of him.

I understand your intention and I appreciate it, truly, but it doesn't help the problem because I've known for a while now (as shown in the Modlog screenshots) who's responsible for the ban. And of course, my point is that I can't contact them because they're only active in Digital Art (the community I was banned from). I can't comment on their posts, and I insist, Lemmy doesn't have secure direct messaging. Even if I wanted to contact you to chat, the only way would be to register on those external apps I mentioned, Element.io or Matrix, which I won't do. And if I did, I already know how they'd think of me, considering how they treated me.

If I wanted to talk to you, my message would get lost.

I know, when you explain once, it's fine, twice if you're generous, but if they ask for three explanations, it's because the other person is stupid.

They're trying to force things on me, lies, wow, what a lovely place Lemmy is! I appreciate those who offer me support, even those who are ambiguous. Unfortunately, there are many people who seem allergic to research and don't understand that my art went months without being banned. The moderation dates are from when the post was published, and I know this because, unlike some, I realized the ban happened a week ago, and before that, my drawings remained untouched because they always reappeared. It doesn't even matter anymore whether I believe it or not; the outcome isn't going to change, and I'll continue with this unfair ban. But at least I defended myself. That art community is a mess, and many of the comments only reinforce the idiocy of all this; they always turn a plea for help into a circus. Grow up! It's all a race to see who's right instead of reasoning. I've been on the internet long enough to know who's an idiot and who isn't. This will be my last comment on the subject because they are truly exhausting, and I can be sure that I told the truth.

Technically and literally I didn't infringe on anything because it's not furry-related. What she creates without knowing what she's banning is another matter entirely.

[-] UserChan__@lemmy.ml 3 points 5 months ago

Two points: 1- I already explained what furry is and what it isn't.

2- I use a translator and translate the page.

3- An extra point, haha. Here's an example of a yokai demon with a kemonomimi. Art I uploaded there.

4- Another extra example, normal/mythical animal art, without a antro.

[-] UserChan__@lemmy.ml 3 points 5 months ago

They're confused because they lump everything related to animals into the category of furry, and it isn't. I assume that since you're a furry, you wouldn't compare a human or demon with animal features to a furry (or even a therian), much less a normal or mythical animal. Furthermore, according to that moderator's "logic," a fairy and a mermaid (things she posts in her communities) are furries—that's how ridiculous this is.

I'd been posting stuff about a demon and a woman with wolf ears and a tail for months, not furries. There was never a single comment from the moderators about it, and like I said, it's not furry.

-A few days ago, a moderator on Digital Art banned me for supposedly posting "furry" (anthropomorphic animal) art. My works are based on yokai characters (Japanese mythology), kemonomimi (humans with animal ears and tails), and beasts (normal and mythical animals). Nothing falls into the furry category, which is exclusively for anthropomorphic animals. And it should be clarified that I have been posting in that community for months without any warning or comment about my works. I tried to contact her through comments in another community she moderates (I barely use Lemmy to post, and I'm not going to download external apps to open chats just for this, plus I don't speak English), but she decided to delete them and not speak to me.

(I won't get into a discussion about this; if you don't believe me, just look up the terms mentioned. Labeling everything as furry simply because it has an animal percentage is pure ignorance, and I'm fed up with the topic because I've explained and shown it a thousand times to some stubborn people. Please don't try to convince me to use the word "furry" as something universal, because it's NOT, and I know what I draw and what I don't.)

I'll try, although I have no expectations.

To dispel further confusion, here's an example of yokai and kemono: purely human form with small animal features like horns, ears, a tail, and claws. Not furry, which is an animal in body and mind, being completely covered in fur, scales, feathers, or anything but human skin. Beasts are merely normal or mythical animals.

Hahaha, my profile picture isn't my art. My beastly art is animalistic, not antro. And my other drawings are yokai and kemono, humans with small animalistic features, like horns, ears, and tails. Here's an example of beastly art.

-Hello, I'd like to know if anything can be done about an unjustified ban in the Digital Art community. I shared my art for months, and it didn't break any community rules, but I was recently banned under the pretext of posting "furry" content. However, my art is based on fantasy beings like beasts, yokai, and kemonomimi—nothing that falls under the furry category. I won't use external apps to communicate with the community moderator (I barely know how to use Lemmy and I'm not interested in downloading anything external, and English isn't my language), so I left a comment on a post, but she hasn't responded or lifted my unfair ban.

-Hi, I've been looking for help with my mod for a long time. I've searched in Facebook groups, Discord, and Twitter, but no one has helped me. I'm not offering money; the only thing I can offer is commissioned artwork in exchange. I never wanted to ask here, but I don't know where else to look, and I really want to finish this personal project that's been stuck in limbo for over a year. If you're interested, it's about the game Onmyoji adapted to FnF.

-A year ago, I released a demo of a Fnf mod based on the game Onmyoji (I haven't played it, but I like it enough). I've never had any followers on any social media platform despite drawing for years, so I don't have an audience to show my projects to, and I feel like all the work isn't worth it if no one appreciates it. I want to do it for the love of it and finish it for enjoyment and fun, but at the same time, it's discouraging to know that no one is interested, and not even the Fnf community has cared because it's not about something well-known or super elaborate. I don't want pity, but I'm open to advice other than "Just do it because you enjoy it". I feel discouraged.

-I launched it a year ago. I can’t continue yet, but I will at the beginning of the year; I’m dusting it off for anyone who wants to try it and give their opinion. The mod currently only has its “week 1” as part of the main story; the other “weeks” are just extras based on events or mini-stories from Obmyoji, they are not part of the main plot.

-It is based on the lore of a popular Asian game, “Onmyoji,” which tells the story of an Onmyoji, a Japanese spiritual wizard who, on his journey to defeat Orochi, forms yokai allies—beings from Japanese mythology—to restore balance and peace between humans and yokai.
