*Stable diffusion, the app is a front end for it. How big is the app? I'm curious to know if it's doing the generation on the phone's GPU or if it's offloading to AWS or something.

It's definitely uploading, it takes 10 - 20 seconds depending on what input you give it, it also provides a generous handful of styles and presets and other tools, it's pretty cool for making phone wallpapers and even nsfw content of that's your thing

I've got SD running locally, I recommend trying it out if you have 6gb+ of VRAM. There's tons of granular configurability

[–] chrizbie 5 points 2 years ago

I definitely do not have 6gb+ of VRAM lol

Is that supposed to be John Key? This one gives me Piers Morgan vibes, with a sprinkle of Mike Hosking. While this one reminds me of some other NZ politician, but I can't put my finger on who.

[–] chrizbie 4 points 2 years ago (1 children)

They're supposed to be John key lol, I've also got some good ones of John key as frodo and Bill English as Sam

What do you put in as your prompts? I've been playing around with Stable Diffusion online, and everything comes out all kinds of fucked up, like the ones I recently put up -

John Oliver, All Black

and

Chris Hipkins meeting President Xi

I find Stable Diffusion is the only one that will make images of famous people

[–] chrizbie 3 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago) (1 children)

I love that it made President xi as Winnie the poo!

There may or may not have been some editorialising of the prompt on my part...

It’s ok, JaXena isn’t real, she can’t hurt you.

FYI: You can embed images in posts/comments by wrapping the URLs like this:

![](https://files.catbox.moe/ejnvze.jpg)

which will do this:

You can also make that a link to the full size image like this:

[![](https://files.catbox.moe/ejnvze.jpg)](https://files.catbox.moe/ejnvze.jpg)

Edit: That all applies to images hosted elsewhere. You can also tap the little image icon amongst the formatting icons which will upload the image here and format the embed code for you.

Even better, plop them in spoiler tags for easy show/hide.

[–] RaoulDuke 3 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Yeah good point. For those who don't feel like clicking through them all, and because I already have Notepad++ open, here they are:

Huh, now we have little A and M badges. I just updated the site (be sure to Shift + refresh if you don't see it).

[–] RaoulDuke 2 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago) (1 children)

Well, would you look at that?

I just went back to the community that wasn't showing the subscribe button for me and it's back there now too.

[–] Dave 2 points 2 years ago (1 children)

It's so weird. There's already a "Speak as mod" badge you can enable in the settings of your reply. Why the extra mod badge?

[–] RaoulDuke 2 points 2 years ago (1 children)

We actually used to have little "mod" and "admin" things before this, but they were much more subtle. You can see my mod one in the comments here on the Web Archive.

[–] Dave 2 points 2 years ago

Yeah, I know. I found they didn't always show, I'm not sure what the criteria to show them was.
