I will admit, I thought that making fun of ICE Barbie’s looks was unnecessary and the GOP counter would be exactly what she said. But, I still laughed because she’s made of plastic.

I don't know if the article mentions this, but she said she didn't even watch it.
Which makes it funny that she thinks they were only making fun of her looks, because they were overwhelmingly making fun of her for killing puppies.

Are they making fun of how she looks? Yeah, sure. But they're really making fun of the fact that she chose to look like that. It's about the freakish nature of all the people in Trump's orbit. They're like the fucking godhand from Berserk - evil, inhuman, freaky looking, etc.
Its a whole spectacle that I think media is afraid to talk about (sure Trump = orange, but... why?) - it's worth interrogating why all these people get super obvious plastic surgery/fake appearance related things. Trump's crazy bad spray on tan and shitty toupee, giuliani's classic bleeding hair dye, all the various women in the Trump admin with their fake everything, gaetz with his crazy botox and facelift... the list just goes on.

I tried watching South Park years ago and it wasn't for me. Funny though that many of the more conservative people I know, who embraced the show for years, now think it isn't funny since they are on the receiving end of its humour.

The episode also depicted Vance as an annoying man-baby who gets kicked around (literally) by Donald Trump. Vance responded on X by posting: “Well, I’ve made it.”
We're going to watch it this weekend, so I didn't dive too deeply.
NGL, probably the best response for finding out you're depicted on south park. Still don't want him or anyone even tangentially associated with peter thiel in office tho.

Look, body dismorphia is a thing. Women in public are critizised for aging normally. No getting around that, but that doesn't mean we can just ignore the fact that when ignoring the option of therapy, she asked for "Sad 90's Pornstar Face #44283" at the bargain basement plastic surgeon as a way to win favor in with the GOP.
