The most tragic loss by far.
What happened? I'm out of the reddit loop
/r/AskHistorians didn't go anywhere, but we left Reddit. Abandoning most subreddits was easy enough as Reddit overall had seriously decreased in quality, but /r/AskHistorians had always been and remained of far higher quality than the rest, so, this is why I consider it as the most tragic loss by far. Nothing at the moment can replace it.
For me, itβs 75% random historical books that brought me to a Wikipedia rabbit hole (always confirm your sources) and that one amazing teacher
I had two amazing history teachers. One when I was in 9th grade and the one that taught me how to be a better history teacher when I was teaching fourth and fifth grade.
I'm conflicted over Saboton taking the crown from Iron Maiden
tbf Sabaton is a one-note band on the subject of military history, while for Iron Maiden it was always just one subject out of many.
Very true. And, for me Maiden play the type of music I feel most comfortablewith, altho, tbf, they have a few decades head start in my memory banks. But, Sabaton is a nice way to learn some history.
