You can't, if you live in this connected tech world. The best bet is to become a plumber and join a local slo-pitch league, live a simple life, raise a family, and try your best to ignore all the bullshit. Nobody needs to hop on the wire unless they want to. If things get out of hand though you may have to eventually take a stand.
They demonstrate so that other reactionary CHUDs will see it's okay to do so and demonstrate themselves. The plan is to become visible enough to "frighten" their enemies in hopes of suppressing them.
