Bit of a lost opportunity to not make it a roundabout, but interesting nonetheless

But extra (kilo)meters for the pedestrians which use the bridge on regular basis.
Is it regularly used by pedestrian or is it more of an attraction?
That landmass looks a helluva lot less permanent than the bridge.
