“One thing you need to understand about the LGBT movement is they don’t reproduce. They recruit,” Helfenbein said as O’Donnell agreed. “And they’re going to take your children from you.”

In April 2025, he also complained that LGBTQ+ people had “co-opted” the rainbow and said that they need to “figure out a way to take those things back,” setting up an adversarial position with the community, saying “It is an us-versus-them thing.”

In earlier tweets, O’Donnell also provided support for Project 2025, the Heritage Foundation created manifesto that drove Donald Trump’s 2024 campaign and that continues to target LGBTQ+ and women’s rights.

This type of thing screams "check his hard drive!"

Everything is an 'existential threat.'

In the 1950's Elvis Presley and Rock and Roll were going to drive america's children insane with lust.

If they didn't have rage they'd no emotions at all.

Worse, he was the composer. He is responsible for the iconic music.

I'm a musician, and I don't want to dislike musicians, but I make exceptions for MAGAs.

I wish we were a threat. Sadly, we’re just a convenient target.

Dude, some guy doinging his buddy is no threat to you. And them getting married causes you no harm. It's 2026. Get over it.

And if you think it's easy to recruit heterosexual men into homosexuality, I have some news about how straight you actually are.

[-] ScoffingLizard@lemmy.dbzer0.com 6 points 3 months ago

They want babies to grow up and be obediant workers. Just ignore the plummeting sperm counts while legalizing PFAS chemicals. These people are ridiculous.

[-] J3N5T4R@lemmy.world 6 points 3 months ago

Bet his browser history full of cock.

[-] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 2 points 3 months ago

Oh, yeah. Anyone who hates gays that much is doing it as a smoke-screen so their friends won't realize who they really are. It's sad, really. I'd feel bad for them if they weren't so destructive.

[-] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 5 points 3 months ago

That's the equivalent of hating women because they will "take your [sons] from you," or hating men because they will "take your [daughters] from you."

A gay person isn't making a choice between their orientation and their parents; there is no reason they can't have both in their lives. I know plenty of young L/Gs who have totally normal relationships with their parents, no different from any straight kid. If they are being forced to choose, then the only ones forcing that choice are the parents.

The only ones making it an "us against them" situation are the bigots, not the gays. Gays don't want to be separate from society, they want to be an accepted part of society.

It speaks volumes more about the parent(s) who complains about being cut off than it does about the kid.

[-] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 2 points 3 months ago

I don't understand how any parent could put sexual orientation, religion, or politics ahead of their love for their child. A parents love should be unconditional.

Even If my child turned out to be a serial killer, I would encourage them to turn themselves in to the authorities, and get help, but I would never stop loving them.

I wish they were an existential threat to that shitstain, and the next time he sees someone he objects to, he dies in some excruciating way.
