Zelensky also revealed that earlier in the day, he met Fedorov and offered him a "worthy position in power", but did not say whether the offer had been accepted.

Fedorov was last week replaced by Yevhenii Khmara, a former top official at Ukraine's Security Service (SBU).

"All decisions will be formalised tomorrow," Zelensky added in his post.

Will the young guy be rehired? people really like him, or 'he has aura' or something

In the article it states Fedrov ("the young guy") met with Zelenskyy and was offered a "position of power" (exact position unspecified).

Given the protests were over Federov getting sacked because of the conflict Federov had with General Syrskyi and whom Zelenskyy originally favoured I would be surprised if Federov wasnt brought back into the same or a similar role.

Would make no sense to turn around & sack Syrskyi and not bring Federov back in

Probably not, they aren't talking about what happened but it might have been conflicting opinions.

It has been fairly widely reported, there's a long list of grievances (by Ukrainians widely not just Federov) against him. In short he's perceived as hidebound /old school Soviet and hamstringing the effectiveness of the troops (there's a lot longer list btw).

Federov published an article on it as well as there a lot of other column inches. Federov was popular because he was not only delivering results, he waa addressing the way conscription was being (badly) handled which is a bone of contention with the public
