Yep, I thought it was tongue-in-cheek when he spoke of Tony Blair's consecutive wins in a positive light. I kept reading and realized he was serious.
It's so just out there and against what I would love to consider the human experience that I want to laugh, but knowing that they are serious it just crushes me thinking of the future. What is it with these vile cretins that has them so averse to helping society as a whole?
The same reason all the “patriots” go quiet when Russia blocks its internet.
I mean, hermit crabs aren’t parasites.
But we will gladly take your hollow shell when you’re dead.
Given the average age of congress, that won’t be long.
I don't endorse the headline of this article. I posted it because I found it an interesting read.
Since this community lists Radio Free as an example of sources to use, I definitely see the need to clarify that you don't agree with the author's premise.
My post history should probably make it clear, not that I expect anyone to go through it to make sure.
I struggle with trying to get news from across the political spectrum that is reasonably reliable, even if I don't agree with the opinions. Especially when a lot of right-wing publications are downright abhorrent.
I mean The Atlantic is pretty reliable. It is completely unsurprising they'd run this opinion piece, so it's an easy calibration.
I was surprised. They tend to skew left while this article is strangely center-right.
They're no Economist or National Review, but I always have found the Atlantic to be squarely with the currently outgoing political faction that championed bipartisanship. But maybe that's because I grew up reading it and the association is just my own internalization.
